Originally from Asia, where it is venerated and represents an offering to the Gods, it appears in Seville, Spain, around the 12th-13th century like most citrus fruits, during the domination of the Arabs, excellent travellers.
Probably the greatest of citrus fruits, I love Grapefruit for its bitterness; bitter is one of the intelligent smells for me, unlike sweet which I find easy and uninteresting. This is perhaps because of my Italian origins since bitterness in Italy is celebrated in many drinks. In this fragrance I worked not only on the lively and acidic freshness, typical of Grapefruit, but I accentuated its bitterness to distinguish it, make it unique. " Jean-Claude Ellena
